Its people enjoy the freedom, opportunities, and financial prosperity afforded them by their massive gains in mechanika, and their just ruler. The quality of life Cygnarans enjoy have earned them numerous jealous enemies both outside and within their borders, however. The country is at perpetual war with several other nation-states in western Immoren.

Cygnar’s military forces grow more experienced with each passing day. Even after massive losses many of them are remain eager to take up arms; even despite great risks. They are more than willing to defend themselves, and their beloved kingdom, from those who would crush the principles of freedom for which Cygnar stands.

The name "Cygnar" originates from the Cygnus standard used by the Kingdom of Caspia during the rule of [[Benewic Govant]], later King Benewic I of the Kingdom of Cygnar in 203 AR. His banner was a golden swan on a blue field, which remains in use as the official flag of Cygnar. 1

Many believe that Cygnar’s greatest asset is their innovative mechanika. The nation is peerless in the fusion of science and magic. Their advanced technology is evident in the varied strengths of their troops from specialty forces such as the famed [[Stormblades]]. The Cygnar Royal Navy too is unequaled in its might because of mechanika support for its ships. It is a crucial force in preventing aggressions from the waters of its long coastline.

King Leto Raelthorne leads Cygnar with perspicacity and a sense of justness, even through devastating military losses. King Leto fought, sword in hand, in defense of his people in the battle for Caspia. Still, his critics argue that his loss of Llael and and the Thornwood to Khador show that he is too tentative to lead. In spite of those voices of descent, many citizens continue to stand with him. They willing to take up arms when called to defend the crown. It is an honor to defend what the nation stands for, its ruler, and its people from those that aim to destroy it.

In 5500 BR an expedition departed Icthier under the leadership of the priest Geth to spread the Menite faith in the uncivilized lands to the north. 2b

Cygnar is located on the southwestern coast of the Iron Kingdoms. Its vast southwestern coast faces [[Cryx]] to the south, across the Broken Coast. To the east lies the [[Protectorate of Menoth]]. To the north lies [[Ord]], the Thornwood forest, Occupied [[Llael]], and arch rival [[Khador]] beyond.
+
In 4000 BR the people of Icthier were forced to abandon their city because of drastic changes to the environment. This disaster is recorded as the Time of the Burning Sky. The Menites found refuge in the lands along the Black River. In 2800 BR Valent Thrace united the Menites and built a new city called Calacia at the mouth of the Black River. Calacia had stone walls which led to it being called the Shield of Thrace. 2c

Priest-King Golivant I led the army of Calacia against the worshipers of the Devourer Wurm. Golivant I attacked and burned a number of villages west of Calacia. The Molgur withdrew after the death of their leader. 2d After ten more years of war the Calacians defeated the Molgur in 2200 BR. 2a

His son Golivant III reunified the Menites of Calacia in 2051 BR.2d  In 2050 BR he expanded the city and consecrated new fortifications to Menoth. Dummy text is also used to demonstrate the appearance of different typefaces and layouts, and in general the content of dummy text is nonsensical. Due to its widespread use as filler text for layouts, non-readability is of great importance: human perception is tuned to recognize certain patterns and repetitions in texts. If the distribution of letters and 'words' is random, the reader will not be distracted from making a neutral judgement on the visual impact and readability of the typefaces (typography), or the distribution of text on the page (layout or type area).

For this reason, dummy text usually consists of a more or less random series of words or syllables. This prevents repetitive patterns from impairing the overall visual impression and facilitates the comparison of different typefaces. Furthermore, it is advantageous when the dummy text is relatively realistic so that the layout impression of the final publication is not compromised.

Due to the size and diversity of the Cygnaran population the kingdom has the best arcane mechaniks, the most resources, and the best gunsmiths in Immoren. Cygnar boasts many revolutionary innovations involving lightning and arcane power. The nation is peerless in the fusion of science and magic. Their advanced technology is evident in the varied strengths of their troops from specialty forces such as the famed [[Stormblades]]. [[The Cygnar Royal Navy]] too is peerless in its might because of mechanika support for its ships, and it has become crucial in preventing incursions from the sea in recent times.

As new warjacks stride off assembly lines mechaniks find themselves forced to implement alterations in the field to suit the conditions of combat. It would seem that war is changing the pace of Cygnar’s technology as swiftly as it is changing the pace of its people. Their foundries produce more weapons, warjacks, alchemical components, and material to support the war effort.
