Welcome to Lexicanum! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! Bigred (talk) 12:53, 25 July 2015 (MDT)

Hi Pourquoi!

With your experience with wikis, you may end up being a leader around here as more new folks come along. We got the wiki to a basic starting position and made a basic example faction /unit/ warcaster that people can use as a template for creating more.

If you hit any snags, or need any help, please let me know and we will get you assistance right away!

Hey Pourquoi, Yes, admins have a large set of permissions including renaming posts. You can see the full set of usergroup permissions here:

In general, as an experienced wiki user I would recommend taking a look at the general techniques used by the contributors on the other Lexicanum Wikis.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Special:RecentChanges

You can see the common use of redirect pages to cover common spelling differences of some topics. Additionally, please take a look at how Lexicanum sources it's pages. Our emphasis on sourcing information and filtering out fan-fic is the big thing that distinguises Lexicanum from Wikia and other sites.

I would suggest making yourself comfortable with the new wiki, starting to emulate the general techniques and structures of the other Lexicanum wikis, and in a few weeks when you feel confident, let me know if you want to be promoted to an Admin.

We would be happy to have an experienced hand like you to keep an eye on the project as it grows and evolves.

PS, perhaps the solution for the "Everblight" frontpage issue,is to have "everblight" redirect to "legion of everblight" and make a new "Everblight (Dragon)" page for the big dude himself. Maybe?

Hey. You recently made a change to the Protectorate of Menoth page, and I'd like to ask you as to your reasoning behind it. In my opinion the change has made the page in some areas less clear as to what's what, especially to people who are new to Warmachine and the Iron Kingdoms setting. Putting the Solos into alphabetical order is one such example. It makes the section look a bit more 'gamey' and less lore-friendly. --StargateNerd (talk) 09:40, 22 August 2015 (MDT)

Thanks for helping clean up my pages. I might not be as good at this as you, but I will try to help fill in this wiki. Grandphoenix (talk)

Hi! You recently made changes to the Avatar of Menoth page.

In regards to your reasoning for the former, 604 AR was nearly ten years ago in-universe time. True, the Avatar was only finished three years ago, but after something has been completed you no longer say that it is being built. Looking back, I admit that my changes probably were a bit extreme, but in my opinion the first two paragraphs should be described as being in the past, like how Dartan Vilmons page describes older events and being in the past, but the events in the Thornwood (which the Avatar also participated in) are described as being in the present.

Reckoning is indeed set in early 609 AR. But by the events of Reckoning, and the other Mk II books, the Avatar has been finished since at least two, probably three, years and is on active service. Also, in both Apotheosis and Forces of the Protectorate, the Avatar's construction is written in past tense. When I read the Lexicanum's entry I was confused for this reason, since it's describing past events as if they were happening now. I again refer to the page of Dartan Vilmon, which has better flow due to all the events before 606 AR being described as being in the past. I think the Avatar's page would be improved if the first two paragraphs were written in past tense, but the rest in current tense. Doing so would also help the two pages, as well as others, be united gramatically. --StargateNerd (talk) 15:40, 29 September 2015 (MDT)
