The Hierarch is the undisputed leader of the Protectorate of Menoth. The title dates back to the Thousand Cities Era when it was used for a priest who had gained supremacy over the Menites his city or region. The Protectorate's use of the title as a sovereign leader, however, harkens back to the Menite Priest-Kings of the Molgur era. The first Hierarch of the modern era was Sulon.
The current Hierarch of the Protecatora is Severius.
