Rename pages

Is this function currently restricted to administrators or something? Some of the current pages on the wiki are named very badly (why 'Retribution' instead of 'Retribution of Scyrah', 'The Protectorate of Menoth' instead of simply 'Protectorate of Menoth', or 'The Nightmare Empire' instead of 'Cryx'), and I'd want to change it, though at the moment I see no move button at the place where one should be. - Pourquoi (talk) 02:39, 26 July 2015 (MDT)

Hey Pourquoi, Yes, admins have a large set of permissions including renaming posts. You can see the full set of usergroup permissions here:

In general, as an experienced wiki user I would recommend taking a look at the general techniques used by the contributors on the other Lexicanum Wikis.

You can see the common use of redirect pages to cover common spelling differences of some topics. Additionally, please take a look at how Lexicanum sources it's pages. Our emphasis on sourcing information and filtering out fan-fic is the big thing that distinguises Lexicanum from Wikia and other sites.

I would suggest making yourself comfortable with the new wiki, starting to emulate the general techniques and structures of the other Lexicanum wikis, and in a few weeks when you feel confident, let me know if you want to be promoted to an Admin.

Everblight

The issue here is that when players use 'Everblight', they are (99% of the time) referring to the dragon (the common shorthand for the army Legion of Everblight is 'Legion'). It isn't logical to make 'Everblight' redirect to the army's article instead of the dragon's, which is the primary topic of the term. In this case, I'd recommend the main page be edited so it'd link to 'Circle Orboros' and 'Legion of Everblight' instead of 'Orboros' and 'Everblight'. - Pourquoi (talk) 21:59, 26 July 2015 (MDT)

Everblight - Main Page Issue

Hey Pourquoi, I've temporarily allowed users to modify the main page. I agree with you regarding the main page, but it looks to a bit more complex than that when I tried. Go ahead and feel free to take a stab at it. Once you get it working to your liking, we can restore the protections. It was only locked as a precaution to protect against vandalism.

Requesting deletion of images

Unsure where else to post this, but you seem to be an administrator. Could you delete the pictures found at http://warmachine.lexicanum.com/wiki/File:Crusader.png and http://warmachine.lexicanum.com/wiki/File:Missing.png? They're duplicates of http://warmachine.lexicanum.com/wiki/File:Crusader-250.png that I uploaded while attempting to get a picture into the Crusader article, which I have now succeeded in doing, making the obsolete. --StargateNerd (talk) 16:56, 12 August 2015 (MDT)
